Brian Monaghan
Brian Monaghan has been a Region III ODP Head Staff Coach for the past 20 years. In 2003 he was appointed to the position of Assistant Coaching Director for Region III ODP boy's program. His coaching responsibilities involve all age-groups in this State, Region, and National level program. He has been the Director of several nationally recognized youth programs in both Austin and Houston since 1986.In 2006 he was one of only four club coaches invited to participate in the MLS player selection combines. He began his professional soccer career at age 16 signing for Everton leading the youth team to the 1977 FA.Youth Cup Final.His professional career involved spells in Australia and England before coming to the United States. As a player/coach of the Austin Sockadillos/Lone Stars, he set the current record for the most goals ever scored in one USISL season. He holds the English F.A. coaching badge, USSF 'A' License and has been a teaching instructor for both STYSA and the NSCAA.
